Cadet Lieutenant Colonel - William Reckley
The
Battalion Commander must be mature, willing to
accept responsibilities, and able to effectively
delegate authority and supervise subordinates. The
Battalion Commander controls the staff through the
Battalion Executive Officer (XO) and the companies
through the Company Commanders.

The XO
supervises, directs, and coordinates the cadet
battalion staff to prevent overlapping efforts and
to ensure the commanders desires are understood and
achieved. The XO keeps the staff informed on
assignments and the BC informed of their status.

Organize the
staff properly and ensure that it works
as a team

Inspect
the work of the staff

Ensure
that the staff submits reports on time
-
Ensure
that instructions and orders issued are
in accordance with policies of the BC,
report all violations
-
Perform
their duties assigned by the BC

The Battalion Command Sergeant Major
is the principal enlisted cadet in the Battalion.
As the senior enlisted member of the cadet corps,
the CSM supervises all enlisted personnel in the
Battalion.

nAssist
subordinate NCOs, the XO, and the S-1
with
administration
duties/details
nAdvise
the BC in all matters pertaining to enlisted
members of the
battalion
nSupervise
color guard and all flag details
nEnsure
the flag details are properly trained
nPreside
over all NCO promotion boards
nPerform
other duties assigned by the BC or XO

The S-1
is the administrative assistant to the BC. The S-1
is also responsible for performing other
administrative duties assigned by the Xo.

Assist in
aligning the battalion at all formations
-
Receive
reports in formations from company commanders
-
Prepare
and publish any orders necessary for the
operation of the battalion
